The team made their mark early advancing to the playoffs in their very first season and winning the CHL championship in their second season. They then won their division in the 2005-06 season, but lose in the second round of the playoffs to the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. They won another CHL Championship in the 2006-07 season defeating the Laredo Bucks four games to two in the Cup Finals.

The following year, during the 2008-09 season, the Eagles hosted the 2009 CHL All-Star Game and took on a group of CHL All-Stars from various teams. The exhibition took place on January 14, 2009 with the Eagles coming out on top with an 8-4 win.
